From vivid voyages through history to action-packed storytelling, our themed workshops help make learning an experience children won’t forget.
WORKSHOPS FOR THE CLASSROOM
Working closely with primary-school teachers, we use themed art and drama activities to delve deeper into curriculum topics – inviting pupils to recreate key cultural and historical events through their own eyes.
Recent topics have included WW2 and the Ancient Greeks, where kids experienced life for evacuees fleeing the Blitz, and performed Greek chorus pieces complete with handmade mythical masks.
BOOK-FOCUSED WORKSHOPS
Our literature workshops are all about making stories jump off the page. We work regularly with the likes of Young City Reads to, encouraging kids to really get under the skin of characters. Recent reads have included Hamish and the Worldstoppers by Danny Wallace; and William Sutcliffe’s Circus of Thieves, and the Raffle of Doom.
GAME-BASED THEATRE WORKSHOPS
We believe fun is the best, most open and accepting way to challenge and discover more about each other – at whatever age. Through our children’s events and game-based workshops for youth groups, we achieve exactly that. Our recent work with Crew Club, for example, involved kids designing their own competitive treasure hunts, learning collaboratively and finding new ways to look at a familiar environment.
