Roofers, Seoul – January to May 2010
An evening for individuals or groups of theatre practitioners to showcase or try out new work. The only immovable constraint was that events must last no longer than 20 minutes.

From comedy and monologues to dance and drama, the night was an exciting revelation into the minds of Seoul's current and future theatrical talent.

After each show the creator was interviewed and invited to chat with the audience about their work.

The Shorts Show is a continuing project in Seoul now run by Probationary Theatre.

The Shorts Show ran alongside two other schemes to help creative people come together and produce work:

Performers Playground offered free weekly workshops for people interested in acting and performance, workshops explored ideas of ensemble, musicality, puppetry, mask-work and many other themes. The workshops also invited other people to explore their own ideas with a willing group of participants. Many of the ideas discovered here have gone on to form our current workshops.

The Melting Pot was a networking evening for actors, writers and directors to meet each other and see it they had compatible projects. Many of the performances in The Shorts Show were initially conceived at one of these evenings.
